A LITTLE STORY:
My brother and I were like giddy kids when we found wild hops vining up a tree jungle. Hops growing wild? In Kansas? I put some in a amber glass jar making a small bouquet in my studio. Their delicate petals and structures found their way into "candid". Inks from my grown carrot tops, wild violets I foraged in my grandpas timber, and the pokeberry grown off the porch by my mommas hydrangea bush/jungle. All these colors have a story, watch as they come alive and dance on paper.
A NOTE ON WILD BOTANICAL INKS:
These inks are one of a kind, alive and changing. Because of their wild nature each ink will change with time. I choose to celebrate this wonder and delight in the beauty of changing color. For best preserving of color I recommend keeping these pieces out of direct sunlight. Putting the piece behind UVA protected glass is a good option if color change is a concern.
PICK UP:
