A LITTLE STORY :
A showy yellow iris was growing down on the corner, steady and delicate. I decided to find out what ink it would produce. I discovered a soft yellow that reminds me of hopeful spring days. Sunflower pollen, a few wondering and floating vine leaves, and blocks of color overlap and collide. Clever madder root and zesty blood orange, a mark across of blueberry, and tiny notes of lemon cucumber rind make up "clever".
A NOTE ON WILD BOTANICAL INKS:
These inks are one of a kind, alive and changing. Because of their wild nature each ink will change with time. I choose to celebrate this wonder and delight in the beauty of changing color. For best preserving of color I recommend keeping these pieces out of direct sunlight. Putting the piece behind UVA protected glass is a good option if color change is a concern.
