A LITTLE STORY :
I planted French marigolds in the garden and watched them grow to big lush beauties. You will find graphite drawings of French marigolds in "charm". Their petals change with the change of the weather. I find florals especially charming, with their gracefull structures. Everything seems to produce a flower, from my pink tiger tomatoes to the blood orange to the pokeberry under the porch. All produce little flowers before they become beautiful fruit. Even the blue green algae and beet root will bloom. These blooms have eventually made their charming way into ink and unto this piece "charm".
A NOTE ON WILD BOTANICAL INKS:
These inks are one of a kind, alive and changing. Because of their wild nature each ink will change with time. I choose to celebrate this wonder and delight in the beauty of changing color. For best preserving of color I recommend keeping these pieces out of direct sunlight. Putting the piece behind UVA protected glass is a good option if color change is a concern.
