A LITTLE STORY :
Red onion skins are vast in color, it can range in color from blues, purples and greens, with the adjustment of its ph. Blue green algae also known as spirulina, grows in alkaline fresh water around the world. It produces a wide range of blue to blue greens hues. From the purplish blood orange to the spicy rooibos, I hope you see this is no ordinary ink, yet a color that is alive and changing.
A NOTE ON WILD BOTANICAL INKS:
These inks are one of a kind, alive and changing. Because of their wild nature each ink will change with time. I choose to celebrate this wonder and delight in the beauty of changing color. For best preserving of color I recommend keeping these pieces out of direct sunlight. Putting the piece behind UVA protected glass is a good option if color change is a concern.
